Met deze handleiding kun je zelf de PSP Slim openen, zodat je hem kunt repareren. Onderdelen voor de PSP Slim / 2000 kunt u bestellen bij RobinP.nl.

Om de PSP te openen heb je het volgende gereedschap nodig:
1x 0 of 00 Philips schroevendraaier
1x small tweezers
1x smalle platte schroevendraaierr

STAP 1: Het eerste dat je moet doen is de garantie stikker van de batterij vak halen, afhankelijk van waar het serial nummer zich bevindt. Je zult zien dat de PSP Slim 4 schroeven heeft, op de afbeelding hieronder gemarkeerd met rode stippen, maar er zijn ook nog 3 schroeven aan de binnenkant. Nu kan de voorkant van de PSP slim er af worden gehaald.





STAP 2: Nu is de binnenkant van de PSP slim te zien, de home bar kabel is bevestigd onder het LCD scherm. De "home bar's" clips moeten aan beide kanten los worden gemaakt en kun je het laten hangen zoals op de afbeelding hieronder.




STAP 3: Druk zachtjes op de rand van het scherm zodat de andere kant iets omhoog komt.



STAP 4: Open de "ribbon" klemmen voor het LCD scherm en de "home bar" door de klemmetjes voorzichtig om hoog te drukken.




STAP 5: Vervolgens moet je het metalen schildje er af halen, daarna de schroeven los schroeven die de schouderknoppen op z'n plaats houden en haal deze weg.



STAP 6: Open de klem van het D-PAD kabeltje en ga met een pincet onder het D-Pad om de kabel los te maken. Ook moet je de knopjes nog los halen die aan de achterkant plakken, daarna moet je de Memory Stick opening openen voor je het D-Pad volledig kunt weg halen.



STAP 7: Haal de schroef los die het "power board" vast houdt en open de "ribbon" klem, daarna kun je het "power board" los halen.



STAP 8: Now remove the screw that is holding the charge plug and disconnect the charge plug terminal. The charge plug is held in by both the screw and plastic clips so gently pry them open until you can easily remove the charge plug. You can also remove the right side speaker by gently prying it out of its clips.



STAP 9: Now, open the ribbon cable clamp for the face buttons (Square triangle, etc.) and remover the sticky backed trigger button pad from it’s self on the back-plate, and remove the face button FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit).



STAP 10: To remove the Mother Board, also known as the MoBo? you must remove the ribbon cable clamps for the UMD laser and drive assembly, and the terminal for the WiFi? antenna. Then the MoBo? can be lifted out, remember that the USB port sticks through the trim so you will have to lift from the bottom of the MoBo?, and pull down to unseat the MoBo?.

Once again remove the metal shielding.



STAP 11: Now, remove the screw holding the analogue nub in place and remove it.



STAP 12: Underneath you will see the daughter board for the AV port, remove the screw holding it in and take out the board, remembering to lift from the top and slide the port out.



STAP 13: Now the really fun part, first pry the spring from the UMD door hinge, next to remove the UMD door, the best way I have found is to slide a small flat-head screw-driver into the opening from the front on the right side, and gently prying the hinge out, now there may be a better way to do this but I wasn’t willing to try too many ways in the fear of scratching my PSP which was disassembled in less than hour from receiving it. Once the first hinge is removed you can easily remove the second hinge, but the door isn’t off yet. You have to remove the H frame hinge from the UMD door, to do this slide the H frame to the bottom of it’s tracks on the door, and lateral to the door, slightly squeeze above the pins and they will be free.


Now remove the 4 screws from the UMD laser drive and remove it,

STAP 14: To get the H frame off you will have to either remove the small sticky-backed rubber blocks from the sides of it’s hinges with your tweezers, or slide a small flat-head screwdriver in between to allow enough space to remove the hinges.



STAP 15: Now all that’s left is to remove the sticky-backed WiFi? antenna from the back-plate and you are done, you now have a completely disassembled PSP Slim & Lite.

Nu is de PSP Slim helemaal geopend. Herhaal deze stappen in omgekeerde volgorde om de PSP slim in elkaar te zetten. Op deze manier kun je dus ook de behuizing van de PSP vervangen.
