Stap 2

Houd de Nintendo 3DS vast in één hand en draai hem om. Pak de bovenkant met je andere hand zodat de onderkant niet terug op zijn plaats valt en draai de Nintendo 3DS weer om. Til de onderkant dan iets op en leg het weg.

Stap 3 — Batterij

Gebruik een plastic opening tool en steek deze tussen de case en de batterij zoals op de foto. "Wip" de batterij omhoog met de plastic tool en haal de batterij uit de case.

stap 4 — Onderste gedeelte Nintendo 3DS

Verwijder de negen 6.3mm zwarte philips / kruiskop schroeven uit de onderkant van de case, en verwijder de 2.4mm philips / kruiskop schroef die net boven het gamecard slot-1 zit.

Stap 5

Til de onderkant voorzichtig met een draaiende beweging omhoog. Er zijn nog 2 flatcables verbonden met het moederbord, dus zorg er voor dat je niet de hele case los trekt van de rest. Gebruik een plastic tool om de flatcables van de schouderknoppen los te maken van het moederbord.

Haal nu het onderste gedeelte van de Nintendo 3DS behuizing er helemaal af.

Stap 6 — Analoge Joystick

Verwijder de twee 7.7mm philips / kruiskop schroeven die de 3D joystick aan het moederbord bevestigen.

Stap 7

Gebruik de platte kant van een plastic spudger om de 3DS joystick los te krijgen van het moederbord. Haal de 3DS joystick voorzichtig uit het moederbord en leg deze op z'n achterkant zodat de flatcable connector nog toegankelijk is. Doe dit uiterst voorzichtig en zorg dat de flatcable of connector niet kapot gaan!

Gebruik de platte kant van een spudger of je nagel om de klem van de ZIF connector van de joystick te openen. Zorg er voor dat je klem opent en niet de hele connector van het moederbord verwijderd! Verwijder dan nu de joystick.

Stap 9

De kleine ronde pads onder de joystick kun je het beste omhoog wippen met een spudget of schroevendraaier, en verwijderen. Dit om te voorkomen dat je ze kwijt raakt bij de reparatie.

stap 10 — SD Board

Verwijder de twee 4.5mm philips/kruiskop schroeven die het SD slot aan het moederbord bevestigen.

• Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the SD board ribbon cable connector off its socket on the motherboard.

stap 12

• Insert the flat end of a spudger between the SD board and the motherboard.

• Run the spudger along the sides of the SD board to free it from the adhesive pad holding it in place.

• Once completely freed, lift the SD board straight off the motherboard.

stap 13 — Wi-Fi Board

• Slide the flat end of a spudger under the corner of the Wi-Fi board, and lift it away from the motherboard.

• The Wi-Fi antenna cable is still connected to the Wi-Fi board, so you cannot completely remove the Wi-Fi board yet.

Stap 14

Til het WiFi board op van het moederbord en draai deze zodat de onderkant naar boven wijst. Gebruik een spudger of andere platte tool om de WiFi antenne connector los te maken van de aansluiting op het moederbord. Verwijder daarna de WiFi module.

Stap 15 — Moederbord

Pak de microfoon kabel naast de microfoon zelf met een pincet. Trek deze recht naar boven, uit de case.

• Use the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail to flip up the retaining flap on the speaker assembly ribbon cable ZIF socket.

• Be sure you are prying up on the hinged retaining flap, not the socket itself.

• Disconnect the speaker assembly ribbon cable with a pair of tweezers.

• Use the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail to flip up the retaining flap on the camera ribbon cable ZIF socket.

• Be sure you are prying up on the hinged retaining flap, not the socket itself.

• Remove seven Phillips screws securing the motherboard to the upper case:

  • Four 2.5 mm gold screws

  • Two 3.5 mm black screws

  • One 2.5 mm silver screw

• Lift the side of the motherboard that sits along the bottom edge of the 3DS.

• Continue lifting the motherboard assembly and rotate it until it is resting next to the rest of the device.

• Use the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail to flip up the retaining flap on the LCD ribbon cable ZIF socket.

• Be sure you are prying up on the hinged retaining flap, not the socket itself.

• Remove the motherboard assembly from the rest of the device.

stap 21 — Upper Display Front Panel

• Before continuing with disassembly, use a pair of tweezers to remove the clear plastic diffuser for the wireless notification LED. The small piece is likely to fall out on its own, and may be difficult to find if it lands on the floor.

• De-route the Wi-Fi antenna cable from the bottom of the upper case.

• This stap is not necessary if you are only replacing the front panel; however, the replacement of the upper screen, speakers, cameras, and Wi-Fi antenna require it.

stap 23

• Heat the edges of the upper display front panel with a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive holding it to the display bezel.

• Begin prying the edges of the front panel off with a plastic opening tool.

• If it is difficult to pry the front panel off, reheat the area you are working on with the heat gun, and then return to prying. Applying excessive force could crack the front panel.

• Continue prying the remaining sides of the front panel by sliding the plastic opening tool down each edge.

• Remember, the time saved by not returning to the heat gun when needed is not worth a broken front panel.

stap 25

• With all of the sides free, lift the upper display front panel off the display bezel.

stap 26 — Rear Display Bezel

Verwijder de zes 3.6 mm philips / kruisschroeven die het achterste en voorste display frame aan elkaar bevestigen.

stap 27

Draai de Nintendo 3DS om zodat het achterste frame naar bovenwijst, en de scharnierpunten van je af staan.

Til de rand omhoog van het achterste frame die het dichtst bij je is, richting de scharnier punten.
Ga door tot het frame helemaal los komt. Er zijn een paar clips die de case vast houden, zorg er voor dat je het los maakt met gepaste kracht. Wees wel voorzichtig zodat je het niet kapot maakt.

stap 28 — Upper Display Assembly

Verwijder de 3D schakelaar van het voorste display frame. Deze stap is niet vereist om de Nintendo 3DS uit elkaar te halen, maar door dit te verwijderen verminder je de kans dat je het verliest.

Steek een metalen pin in de ruimte boven de XYAB knoppen met de punt tegen het metalen scharnier. Druk het scharnier richting het midden van de bovenste case, met gepaste kracht.

stap 30

Haal voorzichtig het bovenste gedeelte van de case. Zorg er voor dat de kabels voorzichtig door de uitsparing van de case worden gehaald en maak het display frame los van de case.

stap 31 — Speaker Assembly

Haal de luidspreker kabel voorzichtig door het gat van de bovenste case. Het kan zijn dat je de uiteinden van de flatcable iets moet buigen, maar zorg er voor dat er geen breuk in de kabel ontstaat.

Verwijder de 2.5mm kruiskop/philips schroef die het rechter speakerboard bevestigd aan het bovenste display frame.

stap 33

Gebruik een platte tool of vingernagel om de klemmen van de ZIF connectoren open te maken. Zorg er voor dat je de klem omhoog wipt, en niet de hele connector.

Gebruik een pincet om de twee flatcables los te maken.

• Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the left and right speakers out of their places in the upper display bezel.

• Pry the camera status LED out of the upper display bezel with the tip of a spudger.

stap 35

• Remove the speaker assembly from the rest of the display assembly.

stap 36 — Cameras

• Gently roll the upper LCD ribbon cable and camera ribbon cable together and insert them into the hinge opening.

• Use a pair of metal tweezers to remove the black metal hinge ring from the upper display bezel.

• Carefully pull the camera and upper LCD ribbon cables through their hole in the upper display bezel.

• Peel the camera ribbon cable off the back of the upper LCD.

• The ribbon cable is held to the back of the LCD housing by an adhesive, so pull on it gently to avoid tearing the ribbon cable.

• Remove the camera ribbon cable assembly.

• Use your thumbs to push the upper LCD from the front out of the upper display bezel.

• Remove the upper LCD.

• A strip of black adhesive tape holds the upper LCD to the display bezel. Use the tip of a spudger to remove the tape from the LCD housing.
